WARREN SPAHN AWARD GALA

 For the first time, the OKC Bricktown Rotary hosted the Warren Spahn Award Gala, in January. C.C. Sabathia received the award as Major League Baseball’s best lefty pitcher; Bob Carpenter, announcer for the Washington Nationals, received the Bill Teegins Excellence in Sportscasting Award. The Ferguson Jenkins Outstanding Student Athlete Award recognized ten high school athletes and the outstanding high school baseball and softball coaches.

The 9th Annual Winter Ball

The 9th Annual Winter Ball took place in January at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The event offers patrons the opportunity to attend an elegant event with their entire family, allowing children to enjoy the excitement of a formal event. After dinner and a silent auction, guests were instructed in the Waltz, Swing and Salsa. The evening’s highlight was the cutting of the Winter Ball Cake, and the Cinderella and Prince Charming awards.
