Express Ranches President Bob Funk is a man who cares about his operation.  “The Big Event” of his great American dream is his angus cattle auction held on the huge spread, and it is an event that requires many months of advance planning.  At this third largest seed stock operation in America, almost 2,000 potential cattle buyers and special guest gathered during Labor Day weekend for a pre-sale gala to “The Big Event.” Special acknowledgement was given to former Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry and to Jeremy Rich, head of the Oklahoma Youth Expo Foundation.

    The premium sale, Rich said, is the largest livestock sale in the world.    The intent of the gala, Funk said was to honor Oklahoma’s military troops who were currently serving and offer them support and encouragement.  He especially recognized the 53 Oklahoma servicemen and women who had given their lives in Iraq.
